Bring yourself and comfortable clothing. We have shorts if necessary. If you have a referral or scans available, bring them on the day of your appointment or even better, email them to us prior at physio@optisports.com.au
Am I able to claim with my health fund?
Yes, we have HICAPs available and can process your claim on the spot. Bring your health fund card, or make sure it’s loaded in your app/Smart phone Wallet prior to attending
What can I expect in an initial consultation?
Initial consultations are either 45 or 60 minutes in duration, please use your best judgement to choose an option depending on your schedule and injury.
During your first consultation, we will review your injury history, as well as any other relevant medical history. A physical examination of the affected and surrounding areas will then be performed. You can expect a clear diagnosis and plan for your specific injury as well as manual treatment during the initial consultation to start your recovery
Do I need a Referral?
No! Physiotherapists do not require a referral for any of our services.
Although, if you have visited another healthcare professional or GP, please send through any correspondence or imaging results prior to your appointment.
For our clinical exercise classes, you must have had a pilates screening assessment completed prior to joining the class.
Do you take EPC/Medicare referrals?
Yes! Bring your paperwork or send it through before your appointment. The process is: you pay the consultation fees, then we can send the claim to medicare and you receive roughly $55 in rebates. If you bring your Medicare card and a debit card to your appointment, we should be able to claim on the spot.
